This friday finally my wait to see the two legends on screen got over when UNNAIPOL ORUVAN released…..my desire to see A WEDNESDAY was kept closed in my heart to see these two legends perform in a film…i was not dissappointed…though they shared just one scene….it was worth the wait….
coming to the performances ….kamal hasan did his role marvellously well…frustrations as a common man was well portrayed by him in the last few minutes of the film where he wipes his tears with a pistol…wow superb…
about our lallettan ….though he didnt have anything to"act" or show "emotions"…he did his part with ease and grace that even kamal hasan will not be able to attain….without stretch of a muscle without ear aching dialogues, we will not find a scene where lalletan acts…he lives as govinda raghavan marar…he delievers dialogues with such ease and great timings…that keeps our mouth opened,than ears opened…no words to describe his "….." i cant find a word you can call it performance,or something and never call it acting because it wasnt that…
the only part i was dissappointed was the bgm….i wanted a r rahman than kamal hasans daughter to do the bgm,because it could have made this film much more greater….the only scene where i really loved the bgm was where kamal hasan climbs to the top of the building that was superb…rest really ordinary….
the other performances worth mentioning are lakshmis and the director….just imagine the state of that director to direct two actors who together have won almost 10 national awards…..
my verdict 4/5(i cut one just because its a remake and poor bgm)

HATS OFF TO LALLETTAN AND BLESSY!!!!!!!!!!!!
WARNING:Please stop reading this post if you have not watched the movie….
The movie as its adv tells is a road movie only in the second half….first half is more about nuclear family which by now audience might have understood as blessys favourite story plot.
The story of the movie is absolutely simple….its a revenge…but the manner in which it is taken can be compared to one of the classic revenge movies of malayalam "THAZHVARAM" OF bharathan……
The movie begins when an oldclassmate of unni (suresh menon) turns up one night at his house,but unni cant recognise his old classmate and he says he hardly remembers those old classmates….the classmate introduces himself as jose and sings an old song of their childhood…..next day unni finds out that there was nobody named jose in their class from another friend who is a doctor……so unni becomes restless of his "old classmates " intentions…but he declares he doesnot want job or money he just need some time with unni to talk an important thing…..
story unfolds quite nicely and the "brutally innocent" character of that old classmate is done almost with perfection by lallettan…
other characters who needs mention are …..k p c lalitha(though her role is small …she did it superbly,bhoomika and suresh menon….you will never say that they are not malyalies)

SIVAN KUTTY IS 100% BRUTALLY INNOCENT
"STYLISH" the one word to describe but unfortunately it is the only word to describe also…very sad to say it lacked a proper storyline…the film is just circumstances based …!!!
The plot is never a 2nd part of ERUPATHAMTHUNADU its just characters,if it was not given a publicity like this i have this feeling that it would have end up like another big b…but superb background score and visuals …set apart this movie from the rest…
Mohanlal should take a sincere effort to lose some weight,even if you argue that weight has nothing to do with acting.Song with bhavana-makes me remember mammoty who used to stand and walk with heroines in his films.
beware CNN has started broadcasting in malayalam…….and that too it has just 2 workers in this whole kerala….forgot recession has hit CNN also so they cut jobs…

With less expectations(as the director of the film unnikrishnan whose previous film was smart city) & with good reports from those who have seen ….i went to watch the film …..
films opening sequences reminded…. actually not reminded i think its pattern of any megastar movie whether mohanlal or mammotty these days to have a kutti hero who grows to become the mega hero….frankly speaking for one or two films its ok but….good thing is its shown so fast
about the cast….. ajmal looked so dumb in several scenes but comparing with the performance in pranayakalam he has improved….mallika kapoor nice character at one point gopalakrishnapilla even says "enthukondu nee ente pegalay janichilla ennu" her dubbing was done in such a manner to give some maturity to her voice though the dubbing was out of focus but it will not do any harm to the movie…then kavya i expected much more from her actually from her character…..kpac lalitha as always is just superb….
and abt lallettan….one thing that struck me was his dialogue delievery with such ease and style ….hats off to the guy who wrote dialogues for this…to the point dialogues cooool……..
i wanted a much more slimmer lallettan but wat lallettan without that thadi
songs -foot tapping first number from shankar mahadevan was good…rest ordinary …rest have to heard more to comment….

My mother reminded me of a story , where a king was cheated by a wise merchant who sold a royal dress which couldnot be seen by all ,only by "wise people" and a child who being very innocent was the only one who dared to say that KING WAS NAKED…..
That was the "vichitramaya kadha" (in film its said so many times vichitra kadhakal ennu)i could remember describing new lallettan starrer AKASHAGOPURAM
i am not saying i am very innocent …but surely i am not that wise to enjoy this movie………
Taken from a norwegian novel MASTER BUILDER it failed to potray any emotions or essence in the big screen…though the movie is a visual delight and filled with nostalgic music….it seemed more like a DRAMA SHOT OUTSIDE THE STAGE….wat shocked me was even mohanlal and bharat gopi were acting like they are acting in a drama….
If there was not an element like mohanal that haunting music would have made me sleep whole 2 hrs…..
About the story ….from wat i understood is Albert Sampson(Mohanalal )who is a master builder who became a great architect under Ibhraham(gopi) refuses to let anyone reach the top surpassing him…he is afraid of younger gen represented by Alex(manoj k jayan)
by my reckoning the female characters are his own mindsets at various points of his life….
he married shewata while he was successful was climbing the ladder of success ….then he started having the fear of being pushed aside by younger gen which is shown by geethu mohandas who he desperately tries to keep in his own side so that alex wont leave him..geethu shows mans inherent fear of failure and easy way of success through cheating…..later hilda( nithya) represents a mature mindset a transition from the feeling of fear of failure to the submission of the inevitable change…..
i frankly didnot enjoy..it could have made in a better way…
i will give only */5(one star out of 5) for the brave attempt both from dir and lallettan nostalgic music and visual treat…
RAM GOPAL VARMA KI AAG- as it is called or named by its director and producer ram gopal varma…is nothing but remake of old SHOLAY…
ONLY lallettans performance stood out in this horrible movie which is just made to mimic sholay…his performance confirms the fact that he is the only one who can stand upto big b and "blow"{he actually blowed big b} his performance away even with a handicapped role…
the movie starts ,ends and goes into interval with lallettans face………
movie as such is a total bull shit that u feel mohanlal is only the good thing in the movie…very sad with big b’s perfo as he just reminds us of a animated villan who screams ,howls,laughs before something brutal…he at no point makes us afraid with his performance i believe a villan shud do that ….
going to others-ajay national award winner-really upsets us with his performace u cant blame him for that nothing to do in this mix masala…among the rest susmitas perfo stood out she tried her best……..
there will be several scenes where u will feel to kick ram gopal out of this milkyway and all those scenes will have a common factor nisha "koprayakkari" oooooh HORRIBLE
Songs disappointing if u compare with sholay but to this age songs r ok…especially mehbhooba one choreographied by ganesh hedhe…{guest role by abhishek in that song}
Have to say all so..one bad thing abt lallettans perfo-dubbing….. though it is said that he is from south …director could have paid some attention to his dubbing …i hope he will now know the value of 20 crores when he finds that some cash he invested VANISHES…

A review in CNBC the very day it released was telecasted in which the critic rajeev i believe that is his name actually threw an egg on the camera saying that ..that was his feeling when he sat seeing the movie….and gave 0 out of 5…first time i am seeing him doing that even for very bad he used to give 2/5…

About the plot -a man who is taking care of a market by doing good to good people and bad to those really bad…who helps cops to capture antisocials–ALIBHAI THE POLICE
Movie starts as old formula hindi movie or recent boring so called comedy movies of mammooty- child hero growing to so called person!!!
about heroines two in this movie – navya and gopika …very disappointing to see such a wastage of talents{navya state award winner} they have nothing to offer in this …
abt songs worth forgetting…………
if u want me to say something good abt this movie then its only BGM background music…..good work
